    Description

    I am offering for sale a 1793 1 Sol Coin issued during the French Revolution.  The obverse contains a rectangular plaque containing the principle of the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen stating "Les Hommes Sont Egaux Devant La Loi," which means Men are Equal Before the Law.  The legend Republique Francoise surrounds the plaque with the date L'an II, which represents the second year of the French Revolution.  It is in very good condition with age appropriate wear and patina.  It measures 1 3/16" in diameter.
