Description
This is an American Eaglehead sword from the 1815-1825 period and is basically of the War of 1812 period. The sword has a lot of the blue and gold on the blade. The blade has a lot of carbon staining and a couple pit spots and a edge ding. The blade also has a partial break on the top ridge about 1 foot from the tip that is holding but should be handled with care. It will arrive as it is but I mention this for your knowledge and so you can be careful in handling the sword. It does not affect the appearance. This sword is marked under the langets Berger Paris which means it is a Berger made sword which was a maker in Paris France. These were imported to the US. The hilt is a little loose but not a problem. Nothing bent or broken. The curved blade is 29 1/4 inches long and 1 1/4 inches wide at the hilt. The grip is 5 inches long so the overall length is 34 1/4 inches tip to top. There is no scabbard. I am pricing this to sale so don't miss out!Returns are accepted as long as the sword is not damaged or altered - however, you are responsible for shipping costs. I don't mind getting something back, but I hate paying for shipping costs and materials just for someone to "look at it". I have had this in my collection for over 25 years and it is a good representative Eaglehead. Check out the photos and my feedback. Let me know if you have any questions or need other photos.
