1938 Arthur J Stone Sterling Silver Porringer Engraved & Marked 257 Grams.
This porringer bowl was made my Arthur J Stone in 1938 and was purchased new, engraved and gifted to my Aunt Judy, upon her birth on May 25, 1938.
The mark on the back was only used from 1938-1939, so it's exactly 83 years old. It weighs a hefty 257 grams.
It's engraved Judy's birth date on the bottom and her initials JMW on the bowl handle. It shows wear around the edges of the bottom and it has one small dent that you can see from the bottom and the interior. It has lots of small marks around the interior and exterior rim of the bowl.
It measures 7.25" across with the handle, just over 5" across without the handle and 1.75" tall.
