    Durgin Gorham. The compote is from the early 20th century. The compote is a shell form bowl raised on a stem formed as a stylized dolphin and ending in a weighted base.
    The item measures 4 3/8 inches high, shell measures about 5 5/8 inches long x 3 5/8 inches wide. The
    Gorham hallmark is at the base and in excellent condition.
