FROM THE INFORMATION I HAVE ABOUT THIS POWDER FLASK, IT IS DATED ABOUT 1845 AND WAS MADE BY STIMPSON. IS IS APPROX. 6 1/2" LONG AND ABOUT 3 1/4" WIDE. IT HAS CROSSED FLAGS, AND PISTOLS, A CANNON, AN EAGLE, AN ANCHOR A BUGLE AND STARS EMBOSSED ON BOTH SIDES. THE SIDES ARE SPLIT APART SLIGHTLY AND THE SPOUT IS MISSING. HAS SOME DENTS AND PATINA BUT STILL A GREAT MILITARY PIECE
