    Description

    Offered here is an antique Victorian merchant trade card – it pictures a woman sewing beside the window and being wooed by a young man in straw hat.  It is advertising for J & P Coats Best Six Cord Black, White & Colored Thread for Hand and Machine Sewing.  There is some loss of paper on the back side – the card had been mounted in a scrap book and these are glue tracks and a tear of the left lower corner from removal of the card from the page.  The card is in fair condition.
