    Description

    This fine hand hammered sterling tastevin was made by Boston silversmith George Gebelein (1878-1945).  I believe it dates to c. 1910.  It is simple, almost colonial, in design.  It is very heavily made and is 2.75" in diameter and 4" (total length including handle) and 7/8" in depth.  It is marked simply GEBELEIN in a textured rectangular.  The piece weighs 73.7 grams.  It is in excellent undamaged condition.
