Up for bid is a early-mid 1900s J.I. Case Threshing Machine Company Profit by Better Threshing catalog. It is in great condition, aside from a tear in the corner of page 14. It measures about 7.5 inches wide by 10.5 inches high.
The beautifully-illustrated cover features a Case threshing machine in use on a farm with a lovely blue sky in the background. The light blue back cover features Case’s logo.
This 32-page catalog is filled with information and illustrations of Case’s farm machinery, including the Case 32x54 Steel Thresher, the Case Steel Pea and Bean Threshers, and the Case Clover and Alfalfa Attachment. The back also features pictures from Case machines used around the world, and a list of grains and seeds Case machines can thresh. Each page features a “Profit by Better Threshing” header in light blue ink.
The showpiece of this catalog is a two-page spread showing the simplicity of working parts of 28x46 Case thresher.
This catalog would make a great addition to any farm catalog collection for the beautiful cover alone, but the information and sketches included inside are a valuable resource for anyone who is interested in Case machinery.
