    Jean-Jacques Cambaceres Second Cosul of France serving with Bonaparte and Charles Francois Plaisance. His most important work was up the new Napoleonic Code. Cambaceres disapproved of Bonaparte’s accumulation of power (culminating in the proclamation of the First French Empire on May 14, 1804. Nevertheless Cambaceres was extremely trusted by Napoleon. He became a prince of the Empire and in 1808 was made Duke of Parma. He was essentially second in command of France during the Napoleonic era. 1-page letter Paris 24 April, 1810 interesting content.
