An outstanding Ottoman warrior's Kilij saber, mounted with a
very large and powerful
deeply curved blade of fine Wootz steel, exhibiting nice smooth patina with few small heavier patches and active watered patterns throughout, extensive gold inlaid decorations to both sides and spine, including Islamic calligraphy and symbolism. In its lovely Silver mounts showing chased decorations and traces of gold gilt finish heavily worn with age. Solid and intact overall, in its original leather over wood scabbard having wired "Steps of Allah" seam. Massive and incredibly battle-worthy example, built for a Turkish warrior of impressive proportions.
