    Description

    DA004T, With riveted and carved wood and buffalo hide grips, excavated near Chimney Rock, Nebraska...Oregon Trail. This piece is still marked (see photo), 11.5" steel blade, missing the hand guard, but wood, buffalo hide, riveted grips are fully intact. The blade is 3/8th" thick at widest point, definitely a fighting and skinning knife in one, from the old west. Overall length 16", dark brown patina on metal surfaces, a marvelous find, all original, ship weight 3 pounds.
