    St Helena Medal in the original white cardboard box with intricate ornamentation on the lid in the form of an embossed Imperial Eagle over the inscription “Aux Compagnons de Gloire de Napoleon l DECRET Imperial Du 12 Aout 1857 “ With even rarer green advertising for the medals. Saint Helen Medal was instituted by Napoleon III in 1857 for the surviving veterans of the Napoleonic Wars 1792-1815, the last medal to be awarded was in 1870. There were over 350,000 French recipients and 55,000 foreigners. This collection consist the original box for the large bronze medal and the miniature version of the medal and the rare advertising paper from the box.
