Taiko Bachi Hickory Handmade Japanese Drum Sticks. 16"x 1"

These listing is for 2 100% handmade Hickory Taiko Bachi Sticks. Bachi (also batchi) is the name for the straight, wooden sticks used to play Japanese taiko drums.
The materials consist of solid Hickory wood which is the hardest available North American wood. This wood is cherished for its impact qualities.
This wood is made at a 1" diameter but I can easily make 15/16" as well.
At checkout you may choose which length from 16 inches to 21 inches you would like
Hickory can come in lighter tan sapwood colors, light brown or darker brown heartwood, or sometimes a mixture of both dark and light on the same stick called 'calico hickory'. These variations are aesthetic only and do not affect the integrity of the wood at all.
I have chosen a variety of pictures showing different color variations in the hickory bachi pairs. The pair you order will be unique to that particular pair.
It is finished with several coats of Linseed and Beeswax oil, which adds beauty protection. Please let me know if you have any questions!
*For the current pair offered there is a small black line at the end of the pair in the wood. This is just cosmetic is very common with hickory and does not affect the integrity of the wood at all. Even So I have reduced the price of the pair 5$ from 40 to 35$
