RARE TIFFANY & COMPANY .925 STERLING SILVER PEDESTAL CENTERPIECE BOWL ~ BRASS FLORAL FROG
This is a beautiful estate silver piece. The large centerpiece bowl is exquisite with a round center all and wide turned down shoulder. Edges are in a somewhat Chippendale pattern. It is chased and engraved with sea shells, flowers, and delicate scrolling patterns. The bowl has a silver plated inset bowl with drip holes. The top features a large brass scrolling pattern flower frog for arranging your favorite greens and flowers. This is perfect for the holidays.
All three pieces are hallmarked.  The base of the large silver bowl is marked Tiffany & Co. Makers, 17775, Sterling Silver,
7254, 925-1000, M. The brass flower from is marked Tiffany & Co. Makers 17773B, 7254, Brass Gilt, M. The silver plated drip bowl is marked Tiffany & Co. Makers, 17773B, Silver Plated, 7254 M. So all three pieces of the bowl are original. The bowl measures 18" across, sits 5" high. The center drip bowl measures 10" across. Sterling Silver bowl weights 108.6 troy ounces or 3380 grams.
The M indicates is was made under John C. Moore II between 1907 and 1947. All three pieces are in excellent condition. The sterling silver part has an un-monogrammed cartouche. It does have a few tiny scratches. No other issues. Nice aged patina. Sits level and even looks like it could be used up side down as a fruit bowl and pedestal server.
