Antique John R Wendt & Co, New York, NY, sterling silver .925, cheese dish, with applied mice on the handles, in the rare 386 1/2 pattern, whichIS monogrammed JPB? & date engraved July 2, 77. The bowl is marked on the bottom with 386 1/2 English Sterling, & the retailer E E Isbell & Co, retailer Cincinnati, OH (1874-1895), measures approximately 1 1/4 inches tall (top of mouse), 6 3/4 inches wide across the rim, 5 inches across the bottom, 8 inches from end of handle to handle, & weighs 7.650 ozt.
The bowl is in good antique estate condition as follows;
GOOD WITH SOME SCRATCHING & WEAR. THERE ARE SMALL ETCHED NUMBERS & LETTERS ON THE BOTTOM OF THE PIECE. THE RIM TO THE LEFT OF THE ISBELL MARK WAS BENT & SOME DENTING IS VISABLE MAINLY UNDER IT. THERE IS A SMALL MILD FINGER TYPE DENT IN THE BOWL. WEAR IS CONSISTENT WITH THE AGE OF THE PIECE & NORMAL USAGE. THERE IS REFLECTION & GLARE IN SOME OF THE 24 PHOTOS.
