Wonderful Quality Sterling Silver Bowl by Gorham 1883

Description

Presented is a wonderful quality sterling silver bowl by Gorham from 1883. The bowl is very attractively made with a ribbed pattern on the sides and scalloped edged rim, raised on three ribbed feet. The interior has a monogram of RMD in a very elegant script, almost more a flower and vine design than letters. This is a very well made and heavy piece of silver work and would be an asset to any home or collection.
The underside of the bowl is stamped with the Gorham hallmark, sterling, and the date letter P for 1883.
The bowl is in excellent condition. There are no splits, no breaks, no monogram removals and no repairs.
The bowl stands 3 inches high and has a diameter of approximately 7 1/2 inches.
The bowl weighs 399.7 grams.
